Inter-Con ensures that all Security Guards are qualified, properly trained, and fully prepared for the daily activities that accompany each post assignment.
All Inter-Con Security Guards receive on-the-job security training and course training to ensure proficiency in post duties.
Security Training
Our Inter-Con Security Training Academy provides over 50 training modules that are available to our officers when and as needed. From First Aid/CPR/AED training to how to handle an Active Shooter situation we have the critical training courses to ensure that our officers are prepared to meet our clients’ needs. Additionally, we specialize in customized/tailored training modules that may be specific to a certain industry sector.
All full-time equivalent Inter-Con Security Guards are required to take approximately 50+ hours of training annually. Additionally, when our officers complete training courses per contract requirements and client direction, their supervisor will maintain a record of the guard’s participation in and completion of any training. A certification statement will be provided upon request of the client. Inter-Con will ensure all Security Guards remain proficient in key skills covered in pre-assignment and on-the-job training by implementing a robust skills evaluation practice that frequently evaluates each Officer. Our supervisors oversee and manage this evaluation. To ensure 100% participation, these evaluations can be delivered and assessed through our online learning management system and administered on a schedule.
Peacemaker National Training Center
Inter-Con owns the Peacemaker National Training Center (PNTC). This facility stands as the pinnacle of shooting excellence, nestled within the stunning landscapes of the Blue Ridge Mountains on the border of West Virginia and Virginia. Spanning over 800 acres of unspoiled terrain, Peacemaker boasts an expansive array of over 40-gun ranges, including two impressive 1,000-yard ranges and several others ranging from 50 to 400 yards. This facility is a prime training venue for active law enforcement, government security personnel, security services companies, etc.
