Austin, TX, May 30, 2023 – Following a public solicitation, the Capital
Metropolitan Transportation Authority has awarded Inter-Con a five-year Contract
for Unarmed Security Officer Services. Under the new Contract, Inter-Con will
provide nearly 50 security professionals to secure Capital Metro people, assets,
and infrastructure as well as members of the public. Capital Metro is a public
agency responsible for providing mass transit service across a 500 square mile
region that encompasses the City of Austin and its surrounding communities, as
well as the unincorporated area of Travis County within Commissioner Precinct 2
and the Anderson Mill area of Williamson County. Capital Metro services include
bus, rail, bikes, ride-share programs, pick up services, and special transit
services for the mobility impaired.
